HARARE, June 12 (Xinhua) -- Sugarcane farmers in Zimbabwe havestarted harvesting the crop although a bit late compared to lastyear because of heavy rains in the 201617 cropping season.

Commercial Sugarcane Producers Association of Zimbabwechairperson Tawanda Mafurutu said harvesting was in full swing andwas expected to run until December, state run media New Zianareported Monday.
